I pieced the three blocks in the first picture today. I added them to the 4 I already had pieced, and that made enough for a whole other row. I have not started adding sashings and cornerstones. It is just laid out on the design wall (see pic 2). I folded the top 7 rows in half so I can get an idea of what colors to add and make it easier for me with less bending and stretching.
For some reason, I am beat tonight. I don’t want to invade people’s privacy by sharing things that are not for me to share, but I’ve been party to several very emotionally draining family issues lately. If I could choose superpowers (my grandson is always asking me what my superpowers are...I tell him turning veggies into delicious food), I would choose a wand of happiness. One quick wave, and one’s troubles would disappear. So would several people, I guess. LOL!!
If anyone would like to share a tried-and-true Instant Pot recipe with me, I’d be grateful. I love using the two I have, but I hate flops.
Here are the progress pics for today:

{Post 1,645} Nearly Where I Was, But Better
I was sewing away tonight, and the time got away from me. I don’t usually stay up late, but I was making so much progress. The last row on the right is not attached to the rest of the quilt, but here is where I am, and I think I have 5 more blocks pieced.

{Post 1,644} So Much Finished!
As you know, I decided to take the sashings and cornerstones off the too-large blocks, trim them down, and resew the quilt center. I made tremendous progress today. I am keeping this short since it is 11:30 PM, but I went from picture one to picture two today. Plus, I have 6 more blocks to remove from sashings.

{Post 1,643} New Decision
Today I managed to sew the first 3 rows back together. Now that I have, I realize that it doesn’t look as bad as I would have thought. I got the first bunch of blocks unpieced from the sashing very quickly, so I am going to do the same with the other 16 I already have pieced. I also realize I want a lot more greens in the quilt. The carpet in the room where it will be used has a very greenish-gray tone, so I want to add more of those.
Here is the part resewn with the remaining blocks laid around it in the second just to get an idea of what other colors I should add.
{Post 1,642} Two More Moths for the Flock
I think I have mentioned this, but I cannot find what a group of moths is called. Flock sounds like birds. Anyone know??
I sewed these two blocks today. I love both the color schemes. See the tiny trimmings at the top of the picture? Those REALLY add up when you have 7 of them. Plus I had to take a sliver off the center 4 patch. Live and learn.
