Updated Crumb Block Picture

Is this too much?  I thought using the same cream everywhere would tone it down, but now I'm not sure...the pieced cornerstones sort of puts it in the over-the-top category!  Input desired...please leave a comment!

I don't think it's too much! Some scrappy quilts are even more scrappy that this. It partly depends on what you are going to do with it. I wouldn't enter it in a show, but for home or donation, I like it. I might not give as a special gift either, because you might not know if the recipient would like it.

It looks awesome! Remember that your choice of borders will help mellow and frame the center of the quilt! I love the little mini blocks inside of the 9 patch and star blocks!

I dont know if my first comment posted! Well, if it did you will have two! I said that I thought it looked awesome and your choice of borders would take away from the business and mellow it out! Just dont pick a wild print for the border...choose a tone on tone in a color that can compete with the center but not overwhelm it. Awesome!

I don't think it's too much at all - I love it!

This is definitely NOT too much - it really adds movement and interest to the quilt. I love that you pieced your initials into it and your kids will love that too.

I really like the "make do" approach - seemingly appearing that you had the tiniest bits of fabrics, like old times. And I WOULD enter it in a show, as a perfect example of "making do". Not everyone has as much fabric as we do, and it's great idea of how to use up bits to make a beautiful quilt.
