{Post, 1,777} Give Away on IG and FB

I made this quilt top and will be quilting it today. I want to give it away, but I couldn’t decide on who to give it to. If you like it, please leave a comment, thumbs up, or whatever to know you’d like to let me know you’d like to be in the running.

It was made from a consistent green dots on block for the diagonal in the center of each block, then a hodge podge of fabrics on the sides of the green on black. I love it, but we have so many quilts in our home that I must let it go. I don’t want to give it to someone that does not like this style, so comment away.

The quilt will measure 60” x 72”. Not big enough for a twin bed, but perfect for a sofa throw or a quilt for a kid.

I love it! I made a similar one last year but it had white in the center of all the blocks. I like your version better! Thanks for the chance! :0)

A great finish Joan, but like you, I have plenty. You could find out if there's a quilt related hospice group in your community. I recently gave several tops to a friend who is finishing them for a hospice program. Thanks for sharing. San / Gypsy Quilter Designs

When your blog is read by bloggers, they ALL have so many quilts already. still, that one is pretty handsome. Wish I could see how you quilted it so I could get inspiration for my own many string quilts. Thanks for the eye candy - always pretty.

I'm sorta "back" from wherever I was, still making those kids quilts and almost using all the cutsies you and other sent me. Being a widow greatly increases activities that HAVE to be done by someone with less energy or ability. The last few months have been overwhelmed with weather-related irritations, like many others. But I'm stilll quilting - LOL

This might be a repeated post - got "lost" in the technical system.

I agree -- the quilt is lovely - wish I oiuld see how you quilted it. I also am a sucker for string quilts, but have many of my own. I'm still working on the kids QAYG type for donations and using up all those "cutsies" you and others sent me. What fun they all are to use!

I hope I'mm back to blogging more frequently. Being a widow means a lot of extra activites need doing, always with less time. This winter had demanded a LOT of citizens, with eternal shoveling, rescheduling appointments because of weather-related complications. I have bigger arm muscles because of shoveling which I still do, but for shorter times.

My projects for today await me - glad I ran into you. Your projects continue to amaze me -- so beautiful!
