Here is the center of my quilt top (real pattern name is Pick & Choose). I think with 3 more borders, it will be a great throw size. I am going to do the same size HST units as the star points (3" square finished) and put them like they are in the original pattern (which I have not yet found, BTW...it's here somewhere!!).
I am going to add a brown print border next, then the triangles, then another slightly larger brown print border. I am off now to figure out how large to make the next border so that the triangles fit perfectly. Wish me luck!!

PS: This is 43" x 70" in the picture.

Oh, good luck- that kind of math I am no good at. I just sew the pieces together until it sorta matches up with border piece then cut border strip wider or more narrow to fit. Works out somehow :)
Good luck...it is beautiful Joan!
Whew - you HAVE been busy. I've fallen behind and see that you had 14 new posts since I've last visited. LOVE those 2 in. quilts and nice to see the various layouts. What a great use of previously unappreciated little pieces. 8-))
It's beautiful, and I can't wait to see it with the borders.
