Spool Quilt Center is Finished

Maddie's Baby Quilt - Finished!
Here is Maddie's baby quilt...bound and washed! I love the way it turned out. I have enough batik strips to make a second one. I will start that soon. It will be for a boy, so I got a camo-colored green for the triangles and border.
Here it is lying on the floor. I originally put on the light purple outer border. I thought it was too light. I got some dark purple batik and decided to just use both!

When I quilted the border, I drew a wavy line on all four sides and wanted to quilt a feather on both sides of the line. I was disappointed then elated...it looks like stacked hearts! I'll just pretend like that was my intention all along. This is a good free-motion quilt design for any child's quilt.

Quilt Show Pic #2
Here is the first quilt I'll share from the Hickory, NC quilt show. This was displayed out in the hallway before you actually entered the show. This was such a fun and exuberant scrappy quilt. It had little surprised tucked in that we didn't notice at first. Susanna took all the pictures at the show. I'll be sharing one every once in a while.

A Little Over the Top
OK, so my last post was an exaggeration. I really don't have to make that quilt. I was just emphasizing how much I like it.
Quilting is such a small part of my life, but an enjoyable one at that. I was just being silly when I made it sound like my life would be incomplete without that quilt.
My sister sent me a pic and source for the pattern. Bless her heart. The pattern pic looks nearly identical to the quilt I saw at the show, in fact. It's from the 2006 Quilt Sampler magazine by BH & G. I'll see if I have it already. Not going to waste much time looking for it if I don't.
Must Make--Know the Pattern Name??
Here is a quilt I saw last week in Hickory. I. must. have. one. If you know the name of the pattern, I'd be most grateful to learn it.
The show was nice, but the quilts were not displayed well. They were hung on skirt hangers, and they were not flat, which did not make it easy to take a picture.
Please share the pattern name if you know it.
This is pic #1 from the show.
