Perm Post #3

For those with inquiring minds, I did call the company that manufactured the perm I used for Rachel's hair. The customer service rep said the reason it didn't work is that Rachel hadn't reached puberty yet. Evidently there are some hormones necessary for the chemical reaction of the perm. Go figure. Guess we'll wait a couple years.

  1. I never heard of that! I used to get perms as a child. Once, when i was about 12 or 13 I had a perm at a beauty shop and it didn't take. We went back and they complained about my fine hair, but I'm pretty sure the second one did take. Who knows!!

  2. I think they just said that to give you any answer! All those little tiny-tot beauty queens in all those padgeant contests, I bet have them! (I don't condone those pageants....terrible way to build an image of ones self...) I never heard of a perm not "taking" because hair hasn't gone through puberty!
